30 Days Wild - Day 8 ~ 8th June 2015 ~
Not much to report from today apart from a visit to the pools on my patch. There were at least 4 young Lapwings still, as well as plenty of adults. I also saw the 2 adult Egyptian Geese and their 4 youngsters. A couple of Black-headed Gulls and hirundines hunted the insects flying above the pools and I also saw some Woodlarks, a pair of Tufted Duck, a pair of Moorhens doing a changeover on a nest in a tree of at least 2 eggs and heard lots of Song Thrushes singing.
