Skomer Island ~ 4th - 11th July 2015 ~

09/07/2015

I'm having a super time on Skomer Island and I can't believe tomorrow is my last full day!!

Last night (1.30am this morning - 9/07/15) I ringed 10 Manx Shearwaters and my first ever Puffin. I then got up at 4am to help with CES.

After CES I had an awesome time scaling the cliffs in search of auk chicks (found and ringed 2 Razorbill chicks) and I've just got in from a session of sticking my arm down burrows and finding and ringing Puffins!!!

I did a number of chicks and got to colour ring an adult too which was tricky but really cool!

All in all a tiring but absolutely awesome day and tomorrow we go in search of more Lesser Black-backed Gulls!
